“Inspire every child to create their best digital future”

The Micro:bit Educational Foundation is a UK-based not for profit organisation. We were established with the support of our founding members (including the BBC) in September 2016 to secure a legacy for the original BBC Make It Digital project in which a million micro:bits were given to UK school children. We became fully operational on 18th October 2016, and our mission guides us to support exceptional educational programmes across the globe.

Inspiring children
We enable and inspire all children to participate in the digital world, with particular focus on girls and those from disadvantaged groups
Making easy & effective learning
We make micro:bit the easiest and most effective learning tool for digital skills and creativity
Collaborating with educators
We work in collaboration with educators to create and curate exceptional curriculum materials, training programmes and resources
Support communities of educators and partners
We build and support communities of educators and partners to remove the barriers to learning digital skills
Our values
These are the values that inform everything we do. They enable us, as a small organisation, to do amazing things and have more impact by creating partnerships all over the world:
"Trust-Partnership-Simplicity-Passion"
Roseace has taken up the task, with the help of “Micro:bit Educational Foundation”, to help children shape the world around them by using computational thinking and technology to unlock their creative potential and enhance their life choices in the 21st century.
